Lovely stay - Rating 5/5
We stayed 2 nights at Netherdene, we got greeted by Dean and offered a cup of tea straight away. Our room was lovely and clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and on time each morning. I asked for an ironing board as the reason for the trip was for a wedding on Ullswater lake and he set this up for me by the breakfast room. I didnt get the name of the lady unfortunately but she was equally as nice as Dean and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you both.

A lovely breakfast was served in the delightful, bright garden room overlooking the surrounding fells - perfect (& an added bonus for me: my dog was welcome in the breakfast room - for once I didnāt have to lock him in the car šš»)I felt safe & comfortable - important to me as a solo female traveller. Excellent - Rating 5/5
A welcoming host; a warm room with a comfortable bed; a satisfying and well-cooked breakfast with butter in a dish instead of in foil-wrapped portions and marmalade in a normal jar instead of in a micro-pot weighing a much as the contents; a very good pub (and a bus stop) on the opposite side of the road; a good room rate. Need I say more?

We have been visiting this establishment for over 12 years and our views remain the same. Excellent customer service, amazing owners who ensure your stay is second to none without question. Breakfast cannot be beaten and the heating in the rooms provided, even in the depths of this recent freezing and snowy weather, was very much appreciated but nothing outside of the norm we have previously experienced, hence our regular re visits. Thank you to Dean and Stephanie, we will be back, thank you.

Ticked all the boxes - Rating 5/5
This is a very good value for money place to stay. My single room had all the facilities. It was up a stair, so no lift if you require one . The breakfast was excellent. A private room in a youth hostel is much more expensive. I hope to book again and make savings by booking direct rather than by agencies. I left a donation/tip to replace the dead plants. Thanks again Dean.

The room was super cosy and beautifully decorated, nice and comfortable to come back to after a day out walking. After a long break due to lockdown I was revisiting Netherdene. I had promised my new wife a real treat and a friendly welcome, and we were not disappointed.Everything perfect and apart from the much more fancy prices it is even better than The Inn on the Lake where we stayed next night. I.e. IOTL is 3 times more expensive !! Well done Dean for keeping going. We will be back I hope.

We were really impressed with our stay at Netherdene and are very likely to book again soon! The accommodation was easy to find and well situated for most attractions. The rooms were clean and comfortable with an in-room TV system which had more channels than we were expecting. We were warmly welcomed and Dean was very helpful with tips and advice for trips. We were looking for somewhere that was dog friendly and Netherdene was ideal. There is a lovely garden which is mostly enclosed for dogs to run in and they are welcome throughout the house. I'm a sucker for a fry up breakfast and was very impressed, my wife had lighter breakfasts and was very complimentary - proper poached eggs!

Lovely long weekend at Netherdene - Rating 5/5
We were looked after very well by Dean, who was a helpful, down-to-earth host. We did a flat walk which he had recommended walk at the bottom of Ullswater on our departure day which was perfect. The breakfasts were great (beautifully cooked) and really set you up for the day. The spa tub (out in the shack) was a really lovely end to the day... fantastic after a hard day up in the mountains. We'd definitely stay at Netherdene again. Big thanks, Pete & Mandy

Our 3rd visit and we\'ll be back - Rating 5/5
This was our first visit with Covid 19 precautions in place, our previous visits pre lock down gave us confidence that appropriate precautions would have been put in place and we were not disappointed. We saw less of Dean than usual but this was understandable and we still felt welcomed to this lovely B&B.There was a leaflet clearly explaining the adjustments made and expectations of ourselves left with our much welcome pot of tea in the conservatory. We had a comfortable 2 nights and will definitely be back. Feels like they've hit a good balance between keeping guests and themselves safe without losing the homely feel. Thank you

Great location, host and hot tub - Rating 5/5
Just returned home after a great 3 night stay at Netherdene celebrating hubby's birthday. We had a warm welcome from Dean and enjoyed a pot of tea in the breakfast room on arrival before getting our hot tub driving lesson. The hot tub's great and we loved it's imaginatively decorated surroundings - film posters, plenty of recycling as well as a chance to watch the windy weather. Fabulous breakfast after a good night's sleep;a day outdoors before returning to enjoy the hot tub each evening then crossing the road to The Troutbeck Inn for our evening meal - what's not to like? Netherdene is ideally situated for cycling straight from it's doorstep and we'll happily return.

Excellent hosts, and at Ā£29.50 for a single person including breakfast can't be beaten. Great, well-cooked breakfast too, with nice touch of china cups - tea tastes SO much better out of china cups - other B&Bs note! Dead opposite Troutbeck Inn too, which serves superb food. Very clean. Only suggestions - very limited space in single room 3, but could do with a towel rail somewhere, and a toilet brush! Bed's a bit on the park bench side too, but at Ā£29.50, who's complaining!

Netherdene B and B - Rating 4/5
Overall we really enjoyed our stay . Dean was very welcoming and we were able to take our dog with us .The B and B is in a very picturesque setting with lovely views and a dog friendly pub opposite! Breakfast was delicious, servedin a light and airy orangery type room .However room 5 (our room) is in need of some TLC, the room and the bed were very small ( our feet dangled over the bottom of the bed !) yes we are tall !The fan in the en suite sounds like a train, I kid you not . Only one of the 3 bulbs in the mirror was working . However the prices were very reasonable which off set all of this .

As good as always - Rating 5/5
We keep coming back to this favourite B&B - it has everything we need: comfy room, excellent breakfast, reasonable price and friendly hospitality. Its in a handy location next to a nice pub, just off the A66 and very close to some of the best hiking in the country.

excellent guest house accommodation - Rating 4/5
This was my second visit to Netherdene bed & breakfast and I recieved the same warm and friendly welcome. The ground floor room was spacious and very warm. The bed seemed like a king size with more than enough quilts to keep cosy on a january night.A very filling cumberland breakfast in the uderfloor heated breakfast room set me up for the day ahead. The only problem I could forsee if a guest is larger than average is the size of the en suite which is " compact" but other than that, excellent. We will be visiting again soon.

Magical - Rating 5/5
I watched the dawn rise from my bedroom window and saw the stars of Orion so clearly as there is no light pollution. The view from the dining room is beautiful looking down towards Ullswater. The Aira Force waterfalls were magical.Kind and attentive staff - a wonderful stay.
